Meet Dr. Phil Zhou
Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Osteopathic physician. Fifteen years in Los Angeles County hospitals, clinics, and patients’ living rooms.

Why this practice exists
I have practiced medicine in a county hospital, in a federally underserved primary care clinic, and in hospice — often at a patient’s kitchen table. Those settings have almost nothing in common except one thing: the medicine got better when I had time, and worse when I did not.
Hospice taught me that most clearly. When you sit with someone at the end of their life, you find out what the system missed — the symptom nobody chased down, the conversation nobody had time for, the question the patient never got to ask. I opened this practice so those things get caught while there is still time to do something about them.
So the model here is deliberately small. One physician, a limited panel, and a price you can see before you agree to it. No insurance company decides how long your visit is, because no insurance company is paying for it.
You can text me. That is not a marketing line — it is how I have practiced for years, and it is the part of hospice medicine I most wanted to bring to everyday care. A text at nine in the evening asking whether a symptom is worth worrying about is exactly the kind of question that should be easy to ask.
I speak English and Mandarin, and enough Spanish to get through a visit. 是的,我会说中文。
